TAKING PART IN THE DISCUSSIONS ON NUCLEAR INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT IS AN IMPORTANT ACTIVITY OF ENERGY SAFETY INSTITUTE

The Public Union “ENERGY SAFETY INSTITUTE” joins the discussions and constructive debate among a wide range of experts and representatives of the public on scientific and technical problems of functioning and development of nuclear energy in Ukraine, achievements of nuclear science and prospects for their implementation in the nuclear industry.

With the assistance of the Union, its member, Energy Safety Group, took part, both as a partner, in the IV and V International Conferences “Prospects for the Introduction of Innovations in Nuclear Energy”, as well as in the XVI International Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists “Problems of Modern Nuclear Energy”, organized by the Public Organization “Ukrainian Nuclear Society”.

During these events, the participants discussed the development of small modular reactor technologies, prospects for their construction in Ukraine, and construction of new "large" power units based on Westinghouse's AP1000 technology and their licensing. They also discussed the possibilities and prospects of nuclear hydrogen cogeneration at Ukrainian NPPs under the Euroatom NPHyCo project, as well as various aspects of modernization of existing power units, including lifetime extension.

We consider participation and partnership in conferences to be an important strategic area of our business and thank our participants for their active participation in various discussion events.
